			Welcome to Mount Alvernia's Web Site! Mount Alvernia Retreat Center is a ministry of the Franciscan Friars of the N.Y. Province of the Immaculate Conception. The Center conducts and hosts spiritual programs for persons of all faiths, although its major focus is Roman Catholic spirituality. It has served the community since 1968. It is located in the village of Wappinger Falls, New York, on 204 acres overlooking the Hudson Valley in Dutchess County.
